An alternative to plastic: Four machines were purpose-developed and are specialized in producing chitin or chitosan from the shells of crustaceans. Bio-plastic products can thus be made in various forms, such as bio-degradable bags, blister packaging or plant pots. The latter are not just containers but also a natural plant fertilizer.
