DE Dieses schwimmende Objekt kann verhindern, dass Plastikmüll an der Wasseroberfläche von Flüssen weiter in die Meere getragen wird. Der Bauplan für die schwimmende Barriere ist als „Open Source“-Datei frei verfügbar. So ist es möglich, mit geringen Kosten und einfachem Material, das am Einsatzort zu finden ist, verschmutzte Gewässer zu bereinigen. Das Prinzip wird schon in Indien, Indonesien und Brasilien eingesetzt und sorgt zudem für Vollzeitarbeitsplätze am jeweiligen Ort.

EN This floating object stops plastic waste on the surface of rivers from being carried out into the sea. The design for the floating barrier is available as an open-source file. It enables polluted water to be cleaned up inexpensively using simple materials found at the point of use. This principle is already being applied in India, Indonesia, and Brazil, and has also resulted in the creation of full-time jobs at each location.
